The Rook series

INDIVIDUAL PAGES

The Rook trilogy, for lack of a better name for them, is a series. Crazy, I know. But bear with me here. Very loosely, for each of the books' plots vary wildly, it is about a cast of human characters as well as demon characters. This is not a romance, this is not about friendship, this is about psychological horror and tragedy. For example, the demons are there mostly because the humans are next on their menu.

The first book is vastly different than the second two, being told by a different character, and with that, the lens through with the story is told lightens the mood a bit. The last two books follow a different character, mostly, although most of the cast from the first book is still very present. The plot is connected, though it may not seem like it at times, and several themes recur throughout the books.

It all started with - well, that's up for debate. But undoubtedly, someone started it, and now the human cast is more or less haunted by a host of demons, all vying for power and which of them they want for their own. The problem is that the monsters are FAR from getting along themselves. In fact, they're on the brink of a civil war.

I really fail at summaries, guys.

The Ram will be put on the same sites once I finish it, which should be sometime this fall. I'll start pretty much immediately on the last book as well, which will also be sold in the same ways. This means no, you will unfortunately not be able to go to your nearest book store and pick it up off the shelf. This series is self-published, and while I am aware of the view of the writing world on that, it's easiest for me at this time. Plus, it means I get to decide everything myself.
